A friend and I did a tailgate competition in Bel-Air Md this past weekend. The tailgate competition is for people who want to do competition and the organizer furnishes the ribs. We had e-mailed the organizer and asked what type of ribs we will be cooking. They were to be St Louis cut. Fine. We...
Well I just bought a Maverick ET73, BBQGuru and a Weber 22/1/2 Smokey Mountain. I will let you all know how they work.
My team LaterBonz BBQ is doing our first tailgate cook with St Louis cut ribs in three weeks in Bel Air Md.
I picked up a Cajun Cooker off of Amazon for $50 about two weeks ago. I got it cheap because it supposedly had a "blem" in it. When I got it it had all of the parts and the only thing I saw was a very small indentation on the middle section bottom. So yesterday me and my buddy fired it up to do...
I am competing in my first competittion in August.

I am just trying to get some...
When I built my UDS I couldn't find a lid anywhere, so I used a tub and flipped it over and added a handle and vent. Here are some pics with a smoked pork loin using apple wood. it could not have been any more tender.
I am thinking of making UDS smokers for sale to the public after I get a great design. I already have a good one that works. My question to everyone is : Do you think a well built UDS will go over in the public? I know about the research and marketing, but I never see them anywhere and they...
I use a 16" deflector plate ( Pizza Pan) that has small holes in it. Could this be a problem, or does it matter? I picked it up at Walmart and the holes are only about 1/8 inch.
I just finished a UDS. I used a basket from a large turkey fryer but I didn't fill it up. The basket is about 8" high and I did the Minion method with the fuel and wood. I have three Weber style vents evenly spaced on the bottom and another one on my lid. My problem was that even after a half...
Hello everyone. My uncle from Evansville Indiana told me about this web site. I am new to smoking, but I have done a lot of research. I have a small Charbroil offset smoker and did some mods to it, but I think I want to go similiar to a WSM. I am going to try and get a 55 gallon barrell and make...
