    Use your own bacon?

    When i make home made bacon it doesnt cook up as crispy. Its still goodbut i only really cook it up for breakfast. Store bought bacon gets crispy and is a little easier to work with when wrappin, like stated above. thats my .02

    Oiling a Butcher Block cutting board...

    On all the boards ive made i just used mineral oil. Never had one crack yet. I usually reoil every 3-6 months.

    new to the forum

    I've done a few batches of pork belly. Getting a better flavor each time. Also been playing around with a heat shield in my drum. Might just be to cold here right now or I need to modify it the cooking rack doesn't get up to temp when with it

    Slap Ya Mama

    Ive used the slap ya momma on a bunch of things. I have used it as a base layer on ribs and it came out great giving the bark a nice spicy flavor. Same with pork butts but i do useit sparingly to avoid the its to spicy comment from others
