Many grocery stores carry smaller bags.

Look in the classifieds in the paper for firewood--somebody should have an idea of what kind of wood they're selling.

Ace hardware carries it here in Tulsa.

Atwood's, maybe? TSC? Whatever's in your neck of the woods is worth checking out.

check in the phone book under firewood, I got a 1/4 rick last month from there. tree trimmers will go out to do a job, then bring the wood back to sell from their business.

Hello from Ponca City-try any city park service, they are always trimming trees. As for chips, i thik Wal Mart may be seasonal. we have a discount foods here where they have chips & chunks. Good Luck!

What I typically do here in Michigan, is go to the apple orchards after the apple pickin' season is over. I went to a local orchard once and asked if they had any apple word for sale and they said $30 for a box. I was hard pressed for some apple wood at the time so I thought, "just this once I will buy a box of for this outrageous price." What I though I was buying was a milk crate size box of wood. What they brought me took a fork-lift to bring out and filled the truck bed to capacity.

Check local orchards is my suggestion.

Do you know anyone living in the country? On a Farm or Ranch? Maybe just go ask a landowner if they have any unwanted Oak or Mesquite

In your area of O.K. you should be surrounded by good wood.
Just a thought.........
Good Luck and
SMOKE HAPPY
