Tri Tip smoke

    i've just prepped my Tri for tomorrow's smoke.

    Injected with beef broth, worcestshire sauce and onion powder.
    Montreal steak on the outside and back in the fridge.

    Sounds interesting never injected a TT. Have you tried without injecting? If so can you explain the differences you noticed,thanks.

    Never have injected either... Just wanted to give it a shot.


    Smokers on at 235, letting it heat up. Using Pecan chips.

    Also have some shrimp in olive oil and Old Bay waiting to go in.

    Just lit the grill to sear it. Going to pull it at 120 and throw it on. Getting close.

    Tri Tip is in the cooler reating while the shrimp are in for a half an hour.

    Sorry to keep everyone waiting ;)

    Here is the final product, which tasted amazing!!!

    And the shrimp smothered in Old Bay

    Didn't notice that much of a difference. Prolly won't inject again. But turned out really good.
