Pork Butt w/gravy

  1. What is a good rub for a butt that will be for sliced pork & gravy sammiches? I figure lots of fresh cracked pepper, some good sea salt and maybe a little ground cayenne, 5 spice and thyme or maybe rubbed sage…waddya think? :roll:

    I like my gravy pretty simple so I would say, salt and black pepper, just a little bit of cayenne and garlic salt.

    Here's a simple one

    4 tablespoons paprika
    2 tablespoons salt
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    2 tablespoons black pepper
    1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
