The "Show Me" state
Pulled a pair of T-Bones from the deepfreeze this morning.

Getting down to the bottom...time to order another-half of missouri-grass-fed-angus-steer from my barber~ he and his son raise them for meat.

Built a hot fire from coals and mesquite. Room temp steaks with sea salt and CBP.....

On the side was a 1.5 pound sweet Vidalia with olive oil and Lawrey's seasoned salt. Made it while I was smoking the fruitcake (see other thread).

Oven baked potatos, sauteed asparagus, and lots of sour cream make my steak a good one~

It's real good hot and rare~!

Nice find at the grocery store for the steaks at a nice price too. Just over ten bucks ....

Not a big a deal, but thanks for looking at my Sunday's grilling. :)

Question on the onion. Did you set that below the meat as it grilled to catch drippings? That onion looks absolutely delicious. More tips on that would be appreciated.

Mmmmmm....
Much as I LOVE smoking meats occasionally I still love a good quick seared pink piece of steak love.
I've been on such a smoke kick lately I sometimes forget about the fine things in life like a beautiful rare to med-rare steak.
Points for making my mouth water at 1:20 in the morning.

great looking steak and fixins to go along with it!!! i would be glad to be invited over for that!!!

Hey grue,

nope, I just sliced the onion, put a couple shakes of Lawry's seasoned salt then a couple tablespoons of olive oil over that. I double wrapped it in heavy duty foil, but left it open at the very top, about a 1 inch diameter hole. This actually let the mesquite smoke in and gave it a nice touch. I smoked it while I was doing the fruitcakes!

I cooked the steaks later on that afternoon.

Dude that has to has to be cheating, That dinner looks awesome. Great job
