New Smoker Masterbuilt Electric

Just purchased a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker. I've never smoked anything so I'm a total newbie. Hoping to find some good tips on this site. I'll post more once I get some actual smoking done. I'm located in Peoria IL

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on your new smoker. I have had one just like it for over a year and love it! Referred to here as a MES. There are a few quirks with them, but nothing you can't deal with once you do some research and practice runs to get to know your smoker. Check out the MES owners group in "groups" above. Also "Bears step by steps" can be found in the search bar above. Bear has provided us all with great step by step tutorials for smoking just about anything on your MES. Happy smokin', David.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
