  1. This was a instant hit when I made it off the 3x5 card that is a little worse for wear in our family (3gen) so I thought I might share if theres anyone out there that Likes Jicama and a sweet tangy flavor..

    Jicama Cool Salad
    Serves four
1 1/2 lbs Jicama peeled and julienned
1/2 small red onion, halved and thinly scliced
1/4 cup coarsly chopped fresh cliantro
2-3 tbls fresh lime juice(1-2 limes)
coarse sea salt and ground pepper to taste..

Combine ingredients toss gently add salt and lime juice to taste.
Serve ,cool, immediaty or cover and chill up to 6hours? we ate it for a week>?<

This is a different tasty item not seen on the bbq side table usually try it out!

Thanks Heliboy, I have some Jicama I needed to use up so thanks for the recipe.
Probably toss some watermelon in with it, should make for a nice tasty salad.
