Hello everyone, name here is Allen, I am always looking for more information on smoking & BBQing. I started out with an electric upright torpedo looking smoker that my dad had and then used a charcol version of pretty much the same thing. I then moved on to a small offset style smoker and used a combination of charcol and wood. I liked that style smoker but the backyard BBQ's were getting too large for that so my son purchased another small ofset smoker and with both of them running that got us through another summer. The BBQ was ok but not great, I distroyed a lot of ribs in those days. The wife sent me to Myron Mixon's Cook school in 2011 for a fathers day present. My son and I learned a lot over that weekend. We now do more cookouts then ever with great reviews. We moved up to a large stick burning smoker (4 racks 46" square) in 2012 that we put on a 16 ft trailer. We did one KCBS cookoff this year and once again learned alot and met a lot of very nice folks.
