I have found the oregon sugar pod 2 the best in disease resistance and tolerate heat when growing in spring.Definetly let soil get 40 degree or above and they will do great.I buy the large pack from burpees and use about all of them planting spring/fall at 50 feet double row worth....
think large pack is 1 pound.Great thing is the number 2 in name means they get 2 peas per stem
