Clueless and pellets

    Hi there. Im jen jave propane grill on its last legs looking to buy a smoker/grill. Flying by the seat of my pants here but hoping to learn alot. Waited 5hours in austin for Franklins bbq. Brisket and ribs so good id do it again! I want to learn how to make brisket like that!

    So i bought a used brinkmans with an offset smoker that had a broken wheel and no chains on the lid so the lid fell backward.
    I fixed those issues and seasoned the smoker a bit. Made some brined bbq chicken and it was delicious.
    Today i put a lil tiny brisket on at noon and just pulled it and wrapped it in foil and it is cooling in the frig.
    Im sooooo hopeful....
    But for this iddy bitty
    Brisket i used two $5 bags of wood!!!!
    It was 100 degrees all day and vetween the wood and charcoal im thinking it might be easier AND CHEAPER to just order one from Franklins and drive the 3 hours to Austin...n pick it up!!!!
