My name is Casey...and I'm a smokoholic. Well not quite but, I'm well on my way. 

I'm a newbie from Central Illinois.  Finally picked up a smoker yesterday after wanting one forever. Charbroil 30" vertical electric smoker.  Did babybacks 2-1-1 method for the maiden voyage yesterday. Turned out great, but next time I'll let them go a little longer in the foil to get a little more tender.  Was so excited after going to bed, that I got up at 4am and now have my first pork shoulder going.  I halved it and hope to have some delicious pulled pork later today.  Looking forward to utilizing, supporting & contributing to this forum!
