Sausage Stuffer on Craigslist -- need some input please......

Just saw this sausage stuffer on Craigslist.  Not sure if it's worth looking at or not.  Anyone familiar with these?

my family has 2 of them. great stuffer and you can still get parts for them too. we make homeade brats and breakfast links with them.

I got one and we have been using it for a long time.  Only thing we did was build a new handle for the crank.  I made a 24" wheel that replaces the stock handle.  It helped a ton in cranking that meat out.

I looked again at the pics...a bit concerned about the rust.  Maybe it would clean up?  I know cleanliness is important in sausage making.  Any idea what something like this is worth?

the unit would be great but I too wonder about the rust. I'd low ball it big time and see if they jump on it. not sure if it'd clean up or not

When we got ours it was in worse shape then that and paid $75 for it.  They are all over ebay for $200+ for a clean one. 

I sandblasted ours piece by piece.  Painted the parts and outside of pot and just put oil on the inside.

Bein cast iron, it'll clean up.  Ya can paint the outside er just coat it with oil.  It's got 3 stuffin tubes which usually get lost.

Bought one like that a few years ago an picked it up fer $35 an only had one tube.  I'd go 50 on it, but start at the 35 an see what they say.  Hey ya never know, might get it fer that.

Of course try to low-ball them, but I'd pay up to $75 for it assuming it doesn't have any cracks.  Take it to someplace that can sandblast it, lube it up and it will be as good as new and last forever.

great stuffer and it will clean up nice

you would not be out anything if you paid 100.00 for it

if you didnt like it you could blast and paint it and double your money on eBay

I have one just like it and use it all the time
