Hello, great site. Been cooking forever. Just finished my first competitive cook and did better than expeted. In the process of building a new 250 reverse flow just got the tank last week. I'm planning on posting the build with pics as I complete it. Enjoyed the reading on here and looking to hang around a while.

Welcome to the site.
Congrats on the first comp and the new smoker build.
Looking forward to pics of that

We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
Welcome To Your New Addiction

What a great place. I have been backyarding since my teen years. The younger kid is almost grown and now I got time to have fun with my toys. Got a Brinkman smoking pit a couple of thermometers and some home made rubs. Love doing butt's, ribs and chicken. Got to get busy on the Brisket. I start on my 250 tank in the morning and plan on a reverse flow and adding a warming box later. Got a training/all hands meeting on Monday day at work and getting four butt's ready for the lunch. I also love low boils almost as much as BBQ. Hope to meet more of you folks soon.
