I was on amazon today looking at digital pocket probe thermos and ran accross replacement leads for CDNs wireless units. They looked like they would work on my ET 73s that I have. Funny I have not had any probs with these ET 73s like range or loosing contact like others have so I am not ready to switch brands. My leads are fine but getting old and I notice in the reviews a guy was using these 9.00 leads on his ET 7 and both the icewater and boiling water tests were within 1 degree of accurate. I wonder if the same leads would work with the ET 73s?

Great timing. I lost one lead last weekend during a BB Bacon smoke. Started jumping from 77 to 155 to 30. Randomly, half way thru the smoke. Switched leads and all good. Oh well.
I'll wait the verdict on getting these for the ET 73.
Thanks

I have emailed Maverick Industries and asked if the ET7 and ET73 leads are interchangable. If they are I would guess these will work. Will let ya all know on this thread in a reply if I get an answere.

Don't know. but if they do that would be great. over they years I have several diffent type of temps I have bought. all have probes of course. then there is the box I keep them in. I can not remember which probe goes to which meter. But they all fit the hole. and wil bring temps to the meter. but as temps rise. they stop working (stall) so I and my son painstakingly taggged all the probes to the right meter. and have two that will not travel above 145o with the probe so they are timers now.lol.
Yes, please inform us of what you find out.

Hey Rick did you ever get a answer from Maverick on this. I had a temp probe go south on one of my ET-73's this weekend as well. Good thing I bought some spares awhile back.
Also is there an equal to the Maverick out there that anyone knows of? Something that will monitor smoker and meat temps in one unit?

They never answered me so I am going to buy one and see. Gotta be the same circuits in the ET7 & 73 i would think.

If you call them they will answer. Ask for Emily, she promptly sent me a new one out of warrantee.

Got me wondering, so I went over on eBay and saw this on one of the ad's:

Enough to make you go "H-m-m-m-m-m".

Several other google leads say pretty much the same thing.

Quote: " the ET 73 leads will work on the ET7 but the ET7 leads will not work on the ET73," hmmm.
