My temp. gauge on the door of my GOSM (model # 3600) is way off. About 60* off! I have tried to calibrate it in boiling water with no luck. Where can I get a new temp gauge that will fit in the door where the existing one is now? You can actually see the red temp. gauge in my signature pic. below that I am having trouble with.... Thanks for the help!

Here's a link you might want to look into. I removed my stock therm, and installed 3 on my door for different rack levels. They calibrated great right out of the box. http://www.kck.com/bbq_thermometer_b...ure_gauge.html

The reason I use 3 door therms is because my GOSM has multiple heat levels based on the distance from the burner. Good luck my friend, most smokers change out the stock therm so don't feel bad.

I had he same problem with my GOSM when I first got it. I decided to leave the stock item on and get a good meat thermometer with two probes: one to read the temperature at the grate level and the other to take the temp of the meat you are smoking. I got the Maverick ET-73. Works for me.

I too left my stock thermo in and just use a remote thermo to monitor smoker temps and this works great as I can take it in the house and still keep a check on the temps. I drilled a hole up high on the side of the smoker to run my probes through and it works great

My door thermo i think worked 1 time total.. i have always used probes/digitals since then.. i like the idea of 3 in the door though
