Hello everyone, Griz here

Thread Starter
I just found this site today by accident and immediately signed up.
Been on for a couple hours now and have already learned new things, thanks!

I live in Brighton Colorado and have been grilling for as long as I can remember. I started smoking a little over 3 years ago because I was bored with grilling and have never looked back. We smoke something at least twice a week (wife gets tired of it sometimes) but my daughter Izz and I just love it.

Our favorites lately have been Turkeys, Chickens, Ribs and Pork Butts.
As soon as I figure this qview and avatar thing out I will post pics.

I don't have a true smoker per se, but have been using my Webers, 22" and 26.75" using indirect heat and large water pan. Works pretty damn good though! I also have a 38" Kirkland 3 burner gas grill w/ rotissory and a homemade 52" barrell grill (converted boiler) that I want to add a firebox to for smoking.

Just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to learning and sharing!icon_smile.gif

Welcome to SMF from one Coloradan to another. Just down E470 to Aurora if you need a hand. If you are good with your hands and have access to a welder I have a 36 x 16 x 16 Stainless Steel box you could make a vertical smoker out of. Just let me know.

First off welcome Griz to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.
Here's a link to photobucket it's free and easy to download pictures. Then if your really new to smoking Look up the E-course.
It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
