Another drum question, who here has messed with Icynene?

I found a guy selling a bunch of drums that had this stuff in it. Apparently it's toxic, but burnable.

Here is the link for info.

It seems like it will be alright if I do a couple burns, but I'd like some opinions from others...

Some would say yes others would say no, I would say yes as long as you do a good burn on them...

Yea, I plan to do a couple burns on it, but I don't know. It couldn't be that much more unsafe than burning the plastic liners out, could it?

No formaldehyde, CFCs or HCFCs, so I'm wondering what is toxic about it, lol.

Their site says that it is Non Toxic so I wouldn't think it was any more hazardous than a liner would be...

Yea, I'm quickly considering picking one up.

Drinking out of a plastic water bottle can be harmful. Why am I worrying about something non-toxic that will be burned out...

I'd use one, as long as it got burnt out good.

Couple good hot burns, a power wash, hit it with a wire brush in a angle grinder, nother power wash, I'd say ya would be good ta go. Nothin in the description that looks to concernin. Just that it produces CO, but ya ain't burnin it in the shop, so that should be no problem.

Ended up finding one for $20 with a liner that had Canola Oil in it. I'll feel better about using this one and have funning setting it on fire too!

I "cut" this from the MSDS for one of the components. The item you are looking at is the finished product. A hard foam type insulation. It is a two part reaction. One part is REACTAMINE® A-32 Isocyanate

"Spray or pour 5-15 liters of decontaminating solution into the drum, making sure the walls are well rinsed. Leave the drum soaking unsealed for 48 hours. Pour out the decontaminating solution and triple rinse the empty container. Puncture or otherwise destroy the rinsed container before disposal. "

This is the MSDS site for the part I found. I would be curious about the other part also, not knowing which drum you have.
Be safe.
