Saw a deal on these monster beef ribs, $5 for this slab. First try, came out pretty good. Rubbed with creole spice, and garlic powder. Smoked over hickory for about 4.5 hours. Shredded off the bone.
Those look great. I haven't tried beef ribs yet, but I'm thinking I need to look for them after seeing a few of the recent posts. Is there a reason you shredded the meat rather than just chew 'em off the bones? Did you use it for sandwiches or something?
I only had af ew bites before I pulled the meat off the bone, I am saving it for something undecided later this week for dinner. I didnt want to fill up and not be hungry for the chli rellenos I am about to start ton.
these were my first try at these big beef ribs & I couldnt pass up the price., and I went by irishteabears 4.5-5 hour time on the smoker. Came out good, we ate some of the meat off a couple bones, but shredded the rest for maybe some fried rice, or just to be served over rice for leftovers. I glazed them as they rested with Stubbs & Open Pit. Ill be doing these again really soon.
I only took pics of the prep of the chili rellenos, and then none of the finished product.
Instead of using the braised pork from Saturday, I made 1 filling using the shredded beef from the ribs, and some shredded cheese, and made another filling with shredded cheese and a cut up poblano that I charred the skin off.
I am having trouble with my desktop @ home right now, so I am sharing my wifes laptop when not @ work. Ill get those prep pics up as soon as I can.
