Hello all,

Recently got into smoking. Girlfriends dad bought me a cheapo vertical water smoker from harbor freight in payment for fixing a car. Best 36 dollar gift EVER

. Done a few tri tips and some baby backs. Looking forward to many more and love all of the useful information that is available.

First off welcome Dave to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I will have to setup a photobucket soon. Pops had some ribs from the last batch and came home the next day with 8 lbs of babybacks. Guess I am already in need of that bigger smoker if I am not able to come up with something else. Looking forward to trying to 3-2-1 or 2-2-1 method. These look pretty meaty so 3-2-1 might be in order. Thank you again for the warm welcome. Happy Smoke!

Yeah, I was not able to find it online, thinking of getting another one for larger get togethers, I happened to see it one day while there with my girlfriends dad and he bought it for me as repayment for fixing his car.
