I've had one of those basic $40 CharBroil H20 smokers for a few years now, and while I only use it once a month I always have a great time smoking meat.

I think next year I will need to upgrade to something that actually holds the smoke in, and has an actual temperature gauge, WITH DEGREES, instead of something that says "warm, IDEAL, hot"

Welcome to SMF glad you joined us. Get a digital meat thermometer or two and you'll see what the temps actually are then. Lots of people turn out some great Q on that same smoker around here
