Took the bone from the Easter ham (Cherry chipolte) and threw in the crock with some beans. The smokiness is coming through. Waiting for the Lady then yum!

I love ham and beans. I usually follow the recipe on the Ham and Beans beans bag, but add about a pound of sausage as well. They are good eating.

I love Ham & Beans too. I need to talk to my mom and find out how she makes it. And with cornbread topped with butter and honey is a must. Nice leftovers.

Gotta love that! Old Bay...oh yes.

Great looking food and idea. Never done that, but now I will. Thanks for posting, and good smokes to you.

Ham and beans are great! one of my favorites. I was going to make some split pea soup with mine until I found out my sister-n-law threw out bone after carving.

Great combo my friend, thanks for sharing the looks of a good meal.

Really like ham and beans. I like to use the great northern beans. Sometimes pintos when they are in season. Gotta have fresh beans. It makes a big diff. Always add just a little bit of extra sugar to the cornbread. MMM! Great job.

Mom used to put just a pinch of sugar in the beans. I had forgotten all about it until you mentioned sugar in the corn bread. I use molasses sometimes too

Ham and beans, ain't nothing better than a pot of beans with a big ol ham bone and trimins throwed in, and cracklin cornbread on the side. just made myself hungry again.

I love beans and ham that my friends or I make. I am not going to tell you what we called those wretched things in the Army.
