My First Butt w/Q-Vue

Ok, I started the smoker around 9 this morning, and so far so good. The attached pictures are pre-smoke and then around 4 hours in. Internal temps right now are 159 and the smoke chambers been between 220-260 so far. I just had to add my first replensihment of coals, so hat's off to the minion method!PDT_Armataz_01_37.gif

I'll post some more q-vue once its done.

It just went in the cooler. I pulled it off at 196. It smells great, I can't wait for it to finish resting. I'm getting ready to make some of SoFlaQuer's finishing sauce. I'll take some pictures before I pull it and post them. Thanks all for the encouragement!!!

The finished product

Well, thanks to all the great info on this board, I'll count my first smoke as a great success. This was some of the best pulled pork I've ever had (and I live in N. Carolina). So here's the finished q-vue! Thanks everyone for helping me get started. Babybacks are going on sale for $2.69/lb at my local food lion this week, so I think I'm gonna try my hand at some ribs for next weekends smoke. I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Looks great! Great price on the Baby Back ribs. Stock up cause you are going to want more once you taste them.

Looks great Tuna! Isn't this place the best? Do the same homework that you did on your Butt, and your ribs will turn out great. Dont forget to post some pics of the ribs.
