Hi Everyone! I'm Jeff Sprankle and I live in Tomball, TX (just 30 miles north-west of Houston). I've lived here for 7 years and have developed a love of smoking meat!

I have three grills: a Weber gas grill for weekday grilling, a Weber charcoal grill and a New Braunfels Hondo Junior smoker.

In the grand scheme of things, I am just learning the art of smoking, but I have successfully done brisket, turkey and ribs!

Thanks for having me!!

Hey Jeff,
Welcome, I have a great friend who is in Houston and he keeps bugging me about moving out that way! I got him an ECBS for having us out during the Rodeo in March. I say that gives him a year to get practicing for next March!!

Welcome Jeff.
You weren't there then, but my senior year my home town played Tomball for the 4AAAA State Championship. We beat 'em 17-7. One of the best games of my life. Darn good team down there even now. My school has since moved to 3AAA. Anyway, just a bit of nostalgia for me.

Welcome aboard though, great group of folks here!!!

Welcome to the SMF, looks like you're on your way to a smokin' summer!
