I'd avoid applesauce- on the grounds of it burning up. Maybe later on in the smoke, but I'd never use it for beef. A butt maybe...

When you mix rum and apple juice what do you do 50/50?

3 parts apple juice to 1 part rum. For example 3/4 cup of juice and 1/4 cup of rum.
