Hey, My name is Ryan and I am a BBQ lover. Started experimenting when I worked in California at a Restaurant that had a pit. Brisket and such. I then brought that knowledge home and have gone from small charcoal webers and a garbage can smoker to the big time with a Large Big Green Egg. I have dreams of a real competition rig and hope that will happen in the future. I love living in Alberta where Beef is king but small scale family run farms are the staple. You can't have good BBQ unless you start with a quality product!

Ryan:

Glad to have you join us. Looking forward to seeing some results from the BGE.

Welcome to SMF Ryan and hello from another fellow canuck , Alberta has the best beef , you're lucky to be so close to it , good luck on getting your comp rig .

Howdy Ryan,
Welcome to the SMF from another Albertan...Slave Lake. This is an awesome place and the people here are fantastic Ryan. You are in for a treat and in all honesty I have never seen anyone stumped here with not being able to get help or a question answered. Your right partner...Alberta's beef is tops dude...pretty good pork, chickens, and turkeys too. I buy all my poultry from a local Hutterite Colony for half the price of store bought and its all organic. Stay in touch brother...welcome aboard.
Ray

Hi Bezz, and thanks for joining us at the SMF. You're right about starting out with good cuts of meat, and I feel the same way with spices too!
