Hadn't planned to smoke this weekend since they kept calling for rain but when the rain never came, I decided to do a butt. It's only a 4.5 pounder but was all could find on a Sunday before Labor Day. Seasoned it up Sunday evening and put on the smoker at 8 this morning. Smoke temp stayed around 257. Wrapped at 165. Pulled from smoker and set aside to rest about 5 this evening. Temp was 195 when I pulled it. I used a mix of hickory and apple in my AMNP. I am really happy with how well it turned out.

I pulled from the smoker at 195 and it rose another 5 degrees while sitting in a towel lined cooler to rest. I let it rest for about an hour before shredding the meat. It pulled pretty easy.
