I have a pit boss pellet smoker. I put 2 pork butts about 8lbs a piece on the smoker at 4:00am for a 5-5:30 pm Labor Day feast. By 10:00am they were already at 177 degrees. I had to leave for a bit so i turned the temp down to 190. Came back and it was at 145 degrees. So I put them in a tin pan, put some apple juice in the bottom, plus sprayed some all over them, then lightly tented tin foil over and turned the heat up to 225. To finish it off. Is this going to make it tough and dry? Help!!!!!

Welcome!  I guess you know by now that it's hard to ruin a butt!  They will be fine! Happy smoking!
