Liver & Onions W/Soy & Lemon

Picked up a small package of Liver we like it.

Recipe for liver and onion with soy sauce & lemon
Ingredients:
Beef Liver
Onion  Med Large
Soy sauce 1/2 cup
Lemon     1/4 cup
Ground black pepper
Flour
Butter
Vegetable oil

Clean the liver, trim the veins

   directions

Slice onion


Cook onion in vegetable oil until translucent, set aside in a bowl


Put ground black pepper in the flour

Dredge the beef liver in flour


Put half cup soy sauce and a quarter cup lemon in a measuring cup

(no pic)

Cook liver in butter, Set aside in a bowl


Put the onion back in the pan, put soy sauce and lemon, cook for 2 minutes


Add the liver, cook for 2 minutes

Serve with mashed potatoes,Rice 


It is not pretty but taste great

Looks good Brother, We have a Cafeteria here that has excellent L&O. Wife need to make some after seeing yours.

Gary I know a lot of people turn their nose up,when they here Liver I could eat it any time.If your wife is going to make try this you'll be surprised

Looks tasty! Bet they'd be better Sous Vide'd! I like good beer battered gizzards too!

Richie,I'm allowed to do one deer liver a year in the house. I go big though with 2-3 onions and usually 3 pounds of bacon. I freeze a lot of it up for leftovers at work and the house stinks for a few days. I will have to try your recipe , my wife would probably thank you as she hates the mess I make frying liver in bacon fat ! CM

I love Deer Liver Lost my hunting property so I don't get out anymore.You will not be disapointed we made lots with Deer years back Thanks let us know when you do it

That looks delicious.  When I was little my parents would call it steak with the special sauce...even though there was no sauce.  I didn't like onions when I was little...but I'd sure eat the heck out of the liver.

What kind of liver?  Beef, Calves, Veal, Pork, Mutton, Lamb, Wild Game?

Nothing wrong with stable food that sticks to the ribs. (of course I have to much that's been sticking to the ribs)
