The wife bought me a 40 inch masterbuilt smoker for Christmas so I have been trolling forums and decided to join. This will be my third smoker I have had. The first one was a p.o.s and I built my second one pics when I figure out how. I like the remote on this new one here I just did 20 lbs of snack sticks and summer sausage that turned out awesome. No having to go out in the cold to check temps only to add chips and adjust vent. Still my favorite way to cook is over the firepit. I live in Wisconsin love to hunt fish and trap.

Welcome to the forum!

Glad to have you with us!

Looking forward to seeing that new MES in action!

Hopefully I can get a few pics later this week I have a chicken pickling in the fridge should be ready Thursday. Our high temp is supposed to be 9*f so I will test the insulation in the machine. I may move it into my shed for this lol. 35 today 9 tomorrow and 30's next week. Welcome to Wisconsin if you don't like the weather wait a week it will definitely change.

A pic of the direct and indirect smoker grill I built this summer from some scrap parts. I was burning some oil out of the seams before wire wheeling and painting the exterior. It made some good backstraps and now sits in my shed. I am yet to get the drawbar put on it so I can pull it with the wife's lawn mower. Meals on wheels. I am horrible about taking pics of things so I will try to get so.e of it all painted and what not.
