Looks like you went all in for sure. Great work, too bad OKJ doesn't employ you in the design group. biggrin.gif

Nice job on the mods!   I'm thinking of welding a new/ larger exhaust pipe on my Okla Joe and lowering it to grate level. I think the Joe needs more draft and air flow to burn better. Could you tell me what size pipe(ID) is on your Old country pit?  Thanks!

It has to be at least a 4 inch. But the location and size of the exhausts pipe were factors in my decision. I love that cooker to death. It has put out some good barbecue. I am going to make just a couple of changes with it. I want to movs the current and main rack up and make it a second rack and go to a two piece internal going from and to end in the inside. Right now I have an inch and s half on each side and an inch in front. That is valuable real estate.

nice im thinking of doing the same thing welding a new pipe  on it  and lowering it to grill grate  and adding a second rack  in  it to cook more  want the  smoke stack to look like this one

If that is a 20 inch with 1/4 inch steel, 2 grand is a steal if it ships for free. sign me up!!
