Hello everyone, they call me Rugbub. Rugbug is my former CB handle. It came from many years of installing carpet. I live in Claremore Ok. I do have a question since I am new here and need to learn a lot about preserving food, smoking meat etc. Is meat that is frozen now, but say gets thawed in a electric outage alright to cure and smoke?

Welcome to the forum.

Yes you can cure & smoke thawed out food, but you need to start the process as soon as the meat is thawed. Then while it's curing it needs to be refrigerated.

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a on and off rainy day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Good advice from Al
