Grilled Salmon Bones

Well, what did you expect from me? Very simple way to deal with a Salmon carcass after fileting the fish. Little bit of EVOO, salt & pepper.
Put some extra oil on the BBQ's grate so the fish wouldn't stick to it.

Resulting in very yummyful salad topping or sandwich makings or just finger food when you wake up at 2:30am and can't sleep.

I'm surprised at the amount of meat you got off those bones!

Pretty cool!

It was a pretty thick fish and since I planned this grill episode, I decided to loosely filet the fish leaving on a little bit more meat on the bones than I normally would.  Now wish I had left even more on there.   My wife made herself a nice salad for today's lunch with this Salmon as a topping.

Richie,

Funny you mention that for quite often the deck hand is asked to filet a customer's fish at the end of the day with the bones getting toss overboard.   Guess who's gonna start asking for dem bones?
