Hey guys-
I live in Edmond Oklahoma and work for a Foodservice company in Norman, OK. I mainly smoke meats during tailgates at OU Football games and obviously at home. Whole Chicken, Brisket, Multiple kinds of Sausage (from Bill Kanps Meat Market here in the OKC Metro), any type of pork and especially smoking whole pork bellies for bacon!! I'm looking forward to using the site for advice on my next smoker purchase.
I currently have an ORIGINAL OK JOE'S SMOKER (offset) 56" wide but unfortunately our tailgate is getting so large that I need to upgrade to something bigger. The Serial # is 69184. With a heavy heart, I'm needing to sell it so I can make my upgrade. If anyone is interested then I have pictures so send me a personal message. It's in good condition except the wooden handle in the main box is a little rotted. This thing is solid with no air leaks and I'll say they don't make them like they used to. When CharGrill bought OK Joe's, they just weren't built with the same quality, especially the welds.
That said, I look forward to talking to some of you and will need some help with new techniques and purchasing a new smoker!!! I'm excited, but hate to see this original go :(
