Hey everyone,

We are from Illinois south of Chicago. I'm a marine currently in the reserves and I also work construction. My dad owns a concrete company and we love to be outdoors eat food and drink a beer.

Me and my dad john have always been into cooking and grilling and recently we decided to get into smoking. We love the outdoors and love to hunt and fish. Dad wanted to go buy a smoker at cabelas but.. I recently got into woodworking and had a bunch of cedar sitting around so I decided to make one! It's been a work in progress and I don't have any of the final pictures but here is one from a few weeks ago. A lot has changed and it's running great now! We got a lot of ideas from this site and forum !

Thanks to everyone!

Cheers

I also worked with wood nearly all my life, We both started Smoking Meat about 6 years ago.

Love your Wood Smoker!!

The smokehouse looks great, I'm in the middle of a similar build.

I plan on doing the same thing you did with the char griller table top pit. One thing I can't figure out is how to connect the stovepipe to the pit, since the hole is oval shaped. How'd you do it?

What range of Temps do you get?

Thanks

Scott

Great work on the smoker. Anyone who has that kind of passion in building a smoker will definitely put out some terrific smokes.
