Hey, so like the huge title says i have a BA in Economics, i am a part time blacksmith/metal castor, I am a refractory specialist with multiple original refractory materials to my name, and i also produce full foundry furnace set-ups building all the equipment pieces mostly by hand.
I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
** So on this build I'm taking a new approach a bit outside my comfort zone in the realm of thermal project. Propane and acetylene have been my GO-2's for too long so this time I'm constructing a digital temperature controller connecting to a solid state relay and connecting off of the SSR will be my heat producer: My home made element wound on a #8 arbor and constructed from Kanthal A1 Resistance wire with a 1.02mm Diameter a.k.a. 18 AWG.
Suggestion on the thermal-electric application project are absolutely welcome. (like can i have a switch to fully cut current downward from ssr without a mercury relay, not a fan of the moving parts)
And feel free to ask me anything pertaining to my specialties and I'll do my best to provide u with answers, solutions, or whatever.
