Been smoking and grilling for a long time (college days in 94'). Always looking to try something new. Current Pit is a Chargriller Outlaw w/ attached firebox.... metal is so thin it is ridiculous. Had this pit since 2003' and it is on its last season. May try to eeek one last season out of it ( face it, I am cheap)
To be fair, living in Texas it is always Smoking and Grilling season. Winter is mild enough in Houston area that unless it is raining sideways(mainly cause it pulls too much heat from current pit) I will grill or smoke something at least twice a week in middle of winter.
Am looking at the All Seasons Feeders pit 48" X 20" BBQ PIT W/ FIREBOX & SMOKER... its pretty snazzy for the price. Having all of the features I need. But I am always looking at different things so I may change my mind.
Beef and pork are the things I do best... Chicken is something I am still "cutting my teeth" on. Wife is a germaphope and I tend to overcook the yard bird trying to meet her requirements for thru cooked meat.
