It is a 12 quart Camp Chef, was $63 shipped from Amazon. My wife has several recipes she wants to try

That's actually a pretty good deal, I really enjoy Amazon a lot! I love baking bread in cast iron.

Nice score!! I love all my cast irons, some are very old that I got from my grand parents. I use them a lot at hunting camp and while out camping. I hate my glass top oven cause I can't use cast iron on it due to scratching the glass top. :th_crybaby2:

 

Can't wait to see some of your wife's recipes come out of that.

I abhor glass top stove. They are evil! You have to baby them far too much for my taste. It's my understanding that you can't can on them either. They're pretty useless, yuck! I don't think the burners get as hot either.

Don't have the problem with a glass top stove. Ernie has a 1950's O'Keefe Merritt stove...
