Hey everyone, this is Dave10 and I just joined today. I've been smoking for a few years now and decided to join the forum to improve my smoking ability! I have a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker that I enjoy using as it's a perfect size for me. We have a small family and I usually just smoke a small amount that we can enjoy for a few days. My favorite wood chip to use is hickory but found a bag of Jack Daniel's chips made from old whiskey barrels that is pretty good! Haven't been able to find any more lately and ca't remember where I bought the darn stuff.
I love smoking pork butt and ribs and would like to improve on brisket! I live in Buffalo, NY and I smoke as much as possible in the summer because our winters stick. I still smoke in the winter in my garage but it takes longer and man it's cold out there! Not sure what else I can tell you but looking forward to reading everyone's post and suggestions!!!
