What a great forum to learn so much from.  I have been a guest using the site for a few months and decided to join.  I am 35 with the second kid on the way and work on aircraft for a living.  Live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota (yes it gets flipping cold here).

Just finished my first big smoke for a 40 person party and it was a hit!  I used Meowey's post from 9/3/07 on pulled pork and everyone is raving about it, even a few days later.

Thanks for everyone time and energy it to this group and am looking forward to learning so many new things.

The smoker type...only the most important thing that I forgot about!  I currently am using the 34" smoke hollow propane model.  My first was a charcoal but I was having a tough time with the temp.  Not very good at managing the temp peaks and valleys.
