Hi all.
I have seen several types of grates and am wondering if anyones had better luck with any certain types..expanded metal..stainless...cast iron..ceramic coated...those new grill grates made from aluminum an anodized. My current gas grill and barrel type offset smoker has cast iron. Do the grill grates really make much difference in the end product?.
Thanks in advanced for any information!

re: grill grates.

I have them and like them, they really do even out the heat, produce some nice grill marks and prevent flare-ups...in fact, I haven't had a serious flare-up since I started using them.
I do wish that the grates were a bit closer together, but that's a minor issue.
