Injection for a whole pig

Smoking a 50# whole pig Sunday and I wanted to get some thoughts from the purists on this site.  What is the preferred ratio of vinegar to apple juice in an injection?  I know some (i.e. myron mixon) prefer at least 4:1 apple juice to vinegar.  I was thinking 1:1 (in addition to salt, rub, mustard, sugar etc.) because I like the taste and the vinegar helps break down the meat.

 

Any other opinions out there?

I smoked a whole pig once..... Salt was all I injected.... for a first attempt, I would keep it very basic and not go out of the box.... taste the "real" pig and adjust stuff on a pork butt or picnic ham later.....
