Chickenonacan 1,834k .JPG file Hey y'all.  I'm Ric from the far Northeastern part of the Carolinas.  I'm new to the group and must say it is a pleasure to read all the interesting posts and get all the great tips.  I've done a little smoking in my time.  Lately my time has been in great demand so I've resorted to the quick methods of smoking.  That being electric.  I know, I know, That ain't the real way of doing things but at least I get something to eat that is generally pretty tasty.  Having gone through a couple of Brinkman's etc. I'm now partial to the little Char Broil Big Easy Smoker Roaster.  The family is small now (just wife and me) and all my rowdy friends are now getting old and worried about being fit and trim so they are out jogging and juicing.  Not me!  I'm getting ready to layback and enjoy myself.  If things get good and friends begin to see the light, I might be interested in trying other means of smoking.  Til then I'll be flicking the switch or filling up the generator....which ever in needed.  Thanks for allowing me to park here for a while.  Here are a few picks of some road kills I've managed to heat up.  Whoa... I don't think the pictures are going to attach like they should.... Oh well,  I tried firstfattie.JPG 281k .JPG file firstfattie.JPG 281k .JPG file   firstfattie.JPG 281k .JPG file

Hey Smallfry-glad to have you here at SMF! Do worry none about using an electric smoker-heck even I have one I use on occasion and we have a good sized community of electric smoker users here.

Ma Dutch and meownself are empty nesters as well so my big ol' Lang don't get much use except for family get-togethers so my Mini WSM or the EUDS gets the nod. I gotta replace the burner in the gasser but I have a side fire box on it and it gets used once in a while.

Here is a link on how to post pictures (qview) to your posts: http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/125263/how-to-upload-a-photo-q-view-to-your-post/0_30

Enjoy the Smoke!

Hey Dutch,I took your advice on downloading pictures ( of course I'm doing it from an iPad today so everything looks different in the window). Here is a picture of some wings I just pulled out of the smoke. Taste pretty good if I do say so myself! Thanks for the help.
