I have an Oklahoma Joe's smoker I've been cooking on for several years, but the firebox turned into flakes of something resembling rust.

I bought a cheapo CharGrille replacement, but it sucks. I need a new 'box to hold me until I can replace the whole unit. The main chamber is still fine, just the firebox finally had to be retired. New one needs to be non-crappy, 17-18" long and 14-15" diameter. I need to keep this smoker running for another couple of years before I upgrade.

As always, advice/snotty remarks/insults/praise is welcomed ;)

I may have to do that if I want to keep this smoker alive. I've actually been fantasizing about a new Tejas, only problem is I have to drive to Houston to pick it up.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, take She Who Must Be Obeyed down to Galveston for an afternoon, spend the night, maybe get a mountain bike ride in at Anthills or somewhere. It's doable

If "She Who Must Be Obeyed" is anything like "She Who Holds the Check Book"; the fab shop fix is more likely to happen before the Tejas Smoker.

Make sure you show pictures of the aftermath which ever way you go.
