Summer Sausage Question

Has anyone on here made SS with whole cloves of roasted garlic? I have seen olives, cheese, and jalapenos. Or maybe strips of roasted peppers mixed in. I was also thinking maybe some pickled capers would be one to try. Thanks for reading my ramblings.

Yes i did but i squeezed the garlic out of the casing .

it gives it a nice flevor .

We add the garlic before the last grind. If you want the texture from the garlic like the olives or peppers give it then ruff chop and add before stuffing. When you slice the SS it will be purrdy.

You might be able to run the stuff through your meat grinder.... I'd use the coarse plate then hand mix in the ground meat...
