Never smoked a brisket

New to smoking on grills here. I have a roughly 3 to 4 lb brisket and would like to smoke it on my Charbroil Charcoal grill. I don't have the side coal warmer so I'm curious on not only best ways to properly smoke it but ways to treat it after I take off grill? Thanks

Im new here also, but definitely not new to forums and all the helpful information that has been logged thru the years...
