Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum but have been reading a lot of sweet info on here!  Currently I have an old steel refrigerator setup that I bought at an auction for $20...  It has the rheostat and an electric oven burner (small one) and a bunch of wiring in the bottom.  It runs off of 220 and maintains temp like no other!  This thing is sweet!  Redneck Fabulous!  Identical to a lot of setups on here...

Here's my issue...  I smoke a ton of sausage and jerky etc...  I needed a bigger smoker.  My work was actually throwing away an FWE Plate\food warmer (an E-960 model)  This thing is like 6 feet tall, 5 feet wide, and like 2.5 feet deep...  It currently runs off of 110 and has 3 500W elements... has all the circulation fans etc...  My cost $100...

It is supposed to hold temps of UP TO 190.  I cant get it to go over 150 in the cold (2 hrs to reach that temp)...  Can I gut this thing and use the same type setup as in my smaller fridge smoker?

Main question being how big of element, how many elements, do I need?  I would like it to hit the 250 degree mark max  but easily come up to and maintain temp.  I would like it to run off the same 220 source.  I am not sure how many amp breaker it is but it has never tripped with the fridgey smoker... Any ideas?
