Help With Thanksgiving

I smoked my first Turkey last Christmas and it turned out Awesome...problem was it took 3 hours longer than I with the entire family coming over for thanksgiving I was planning on starting alot earlier..if I get to my temp before we plan on serving dinner can I wrap in foil/towel and through in cooler until we are ready for dinner? and if so how long is too long?  Or will that ruin then the bird?  Thanks in advance of whatever input you can give...

I recommend using the times from the chart in this post:  I've found that they are pretty accurate.  You should have to hold the bird long.  IMO wrapping it will wreck the skin making it soggy.
