Greetings everyone!..I introduced myself a couple of years ago, posted acouple of threads, and  have stayed in the background for awhile...I'm still learning  and  still enjoying the art of smoking....I.sold my New Braunfels cast-iron offset,( had problems maintaining Temps, even after Mods) and about 6 months ago went to a 22" Weber Smokey mountain. Wow what an improvement!   What I'm wondering is   do wood chunks lose there smoke aroma the older they get?  Ive got lots of apple, oak and pecan that has been in my backyard crate for quite awhile...anyway, thats my question and wondering if anybody knows.....Thanks
