I finally got around to making the final touches to my mini wsm. I made a video to give you an idea on what I have done. If you have any questions let me know.

 
Very nice, I'm amazed that you have that much charcoal left after a 7 hour burn!! I'm really excited to build mine now.

I was wondering too, if the IQ would make the fire burn unevenly on one side. But it looks like that wasn't an issue.

Anyway, great job!!

I like that pot better.. doesn't have the indented ring at the bottom.... you say that's a 36q American Gourmet ? this things are a great little smoker... very very fuel efficient... nice build

I just double checked it's a Outdoor Gourmet, not American like I said in the video. Sorry for the confusion. I purchased the pot from Academy sports for around $40.
